During the summer of 2021, a poor abandoned donkey (now named ‘Aussie’ after our Australian supporters) had fallen and was lying injured in a stream in one of the remote outlying areas of Kabul. He was found by a homeless Afghan lady who managed to get him out of the stream. The lady kept Aussie as she thought he might be a source of income, however his condition worsened and she eventually handed Aussie over to Nowzad.
The poor donkey’s injuries included the complete loss of vision in his right eye and now Aussie has very little vision in his left eye. He is a very quiet and withdrawn little donkey but growing in confidence every day under our team’s care and attention.
Please consider making a donatation to help another donkey or horse receive the treatment they all so desperately need. Thank-you for caring.
