With the current situation, fundraising for the Nowzad shelter and clinic in Afghanistan has been quite the challenge!
Thankfully, we have some amazing support from folks like Nowzad Hero and racing champion Dakota Dickerson, who for the third-year running is undertaking the ‘Paws on a Race car’ fundraiser for Nowzad!
Dakota’s car was plastered in the Nowzad Family’s pet’s pawprints as he raced his Ligier JSP3 racecar during the IMSA Prototype Challenge season finale at the world-famous Road Atlanta during the Petit LeMans weekend!
The race was even broadcast on NBC Sports.
Dakota says
‘The wonderful folks at Nowzad do such amazing work for the animals that are suffering, with no home and no voice, and I could not be happier to use our platform to assist with their efforts!. I'm so thankful for the generous support we received in our fundraiser for Nowzad. It has been a crazy year but we saw a combination of new and past supporters come together in support of Nowzad to surpass our goal of $7500. The paws looked amazing on the racecar and it was also awesome to hear Nowzad' name over the PA at the track. I can't wait for next year's fundraiser!"
Dakota says that next year will be even bigger and better – so don’t miss out on the opportunity to have your pet’s paw prints on our champ’s car next year! More details to follow on our social media in 2021.
