The Nowzad Snowdon challenge is back!!
On the 14th September 2024 do you think you have what it takes to trek to the top of Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park in North Wales? At a height of 1085m it is no ‘walk in the park’ (excuse the pun), but a serious undertaking as the weather, personal fitness and mountain environment are all factors to be considered!
Why trek to the summit?
Well for a start there is (subject to Welsh weather), normally a glorious view and of course, the world famous Snowdon café. The Snowdon light railway goes to the summit too - but that would be cheating!! This event is all about challenging ourselves and raising vital funds for the Nowzad charity’s ongoing animal welfare work in Ukraine and Afghanistan.
What better way to raise money than digging deep and pushing yourself to reach the top! (But please do save some energy so you can get back down!).
We will be joined by the wonderful people from Animals Asia - it is not a race but always nice to have more Nowzad supporters on the summit than they do!! (We are all good friends really!) Commit to the event fee of £25 (which includes a unique Nowzad t-shirt) and fundraising a minimum of £200 for the vital animal welfare work of the charity and your place is confirmed! No accommodation or food is provided by the charity but we do provide our founder, Pen Farthing who will guide you up the mountain :)
