Time to forget about the woes of the world for five minutes and let’s celebrate a few of our successful rescues that did manage to travel to their forever homes during 2020 and the early part of this year.
With airlines suspending operations all over the world, just as they are doing again now, it seemed at times; as if we would never have the opportunity to fly them out.
It was epic.
It was beyond frustrating – just how many times can you drive a dog to the airport and go through Afghan customs before being told the flight was cancelled several hours ago……? (4 is the actual record J )
At times it was just hopeless.
But finally they were able to fly to their forever homes; so time to put a smile on your face!
Rolo, Dasher, Lily and Tulsi, Madhuri and Khushbaht cat were just a few of the lucky rescues to finally make it out of Kabul during 2020. we are truly grateful to all who made it possible with their super generous donations - thank you.
