Former Rescues

All of our Nowzad former street dogs or cats will need a home where love and patience walk hand in hand.

It can be a long road of trial and error and careful supervision is always necessary. Overcoming the Afghan animal’s very territorial nature can have its moments.

We have fully come to appreciate that adopting an Afghan animal is not for everybody as it requires a life time of commitment but could you be the loving home our companion animals are looking for?

All our animals for adoption are vaccinated, neutered, tick flea & wormed & microchipped.

The team at Nowzad feel it is very important to ensure that you and your family / home situation is right for the dog or cat you are considering adopting. Please be as honest with us as you can when you complete the questionnaire. Some of our older dogs or cats that need ‘forever’ homes may not readily accept other dogs that are already living in your home but our younger dogs will settle with the correct introduction and supervision.

THORI

Senior boy Thori has happily settled into new life with his Mum. This quiet gentle lad has really blossomed in his new life and loves going for a walk and realising that life is good! His Mum says …..

"He's very funny,  he loves the recycling and is constantly ripping it to shreds (touches nothing else).   We go out on recycling day and his head is in everyones black boxes.  My previous dog, had he been a human, he would have been a professional footballer on megga bucks.  Thori would be a recycling operative on minimum wage... "

We absolutely love hearing his adventures and thank his new Mum for giving him such a great life. It really brings a smile to our hearts. Happy days ahead for you dear lad!

Please consider making a donatation to help another donkey or horse receive the treatment they all so desperately need. Thank-you for caring.
