Former Rescues

All of our Nowzad former street dogs or cats will need a home where love and patience walk hand in hand.

It can be a long road of trial and error and careful supervision is always necessary. Overcoming the Afghan animal’s very territorial nature can have its moments.

We have fully come to appreciate that adopting an Afghan animal is not for everybody as it requires a life time of commitment but could you be the loving home our companion animals are looking for?

All our animals for adoption are vaccinated, neutered, tick flea & wormed & microchipped.

The team at Nowzad feel it is very important to ensure that you and your family / home situation is right for the dog or cat you are considering adopting. Please be as honest with us as you can when you complete the questionnaire. Some of our older dogs or cats that need ‘forever’ homes may not readily accept other dogs that are already living in your home but our younger dogs will settle with the correct introduction and supervision.

SHAMMI

This handsome little fella had a really tough start in life in Kabul but a traffic accident saved him after he was brought to our Kabul clinic for treatment after being found badly injured. This little tripaw with cropped ears travelled home on The Ark and eventually found his forever family. He really has bonded deeply with his new Mum and loves to walk in the countryside and spending quality time together. Also Shammi has discovered that watching a good game of footie is extra special when it involves a cuddle with Mum on the sofa. This darling little fella has really hit the jackpot with his home and we thank his Mum for her love and dedication to this gorgeous lad. We look forward to seeing you explore and share new adventures together - what a great team you make

Please consider making a donatation to help another donkey or horse receive the treatment they all so desperately need. Thank-you for caring.
