Former Rescues

All of our Nowzad former street dogs or cats will need a home where love and patience walk hand in hand.

It can be a long road of trial and error and careful supervision is always necessary. Overcoming the Afghan animal’s very territorial nature can have its moments.

We have fully come to appreciate that adopting an Afghan animal is not for everybody as it requires a life time of commitment but could you be the loving home our companion animals are looking for?

All our animals for adoption are vaccinated, neutered, tick flea & wormed & microchipped.

The team at Nowzad feel it is very important to ensure that you and your family / home situation is right for the dog or cat you are considering adopting. Please be as honest with us as you can when you complete the questionnaire. Some of our older dogs or cats that need ‘forever’ homes may not readily accept other dogs that are already living in your home but our younger dogs will settle with the correct introduction and supervision.

These two beautiful girls both travelled home on The Ark and both were the luckiest dogs when their prospective adopters could not decide which one and so decided to adopt both! We have watched them grow in confidence, personality and ability with their new family. The girls are loving their new life and have absolutely blossomed. They love a walk in the woods, meeting new two & four legged friends and trips to the beach. The girls love to play in their garden and are keen gardeners and happy to help out with any digging whether it’s required or not! We absolutely love hearing of their adventures and progress and it warms our hearts, makes us smile and laugh out loud to hear of their antics. So many adventures and fun for the future darling girls
