Former Rescues

All of our Nowzad former street dogs or cats will need a home where love and patience walk hand in hand.

It can be a long road of trial and error and careful supervision is always necessary. Overcoming the Afghan animal’s very territorial nature can have its moments.

We have fully come to appreciate that adopting an Afghan animal is not for everybody as it requires a life time of commitment but could you be the loving home our companion animals are looking for?

All our animals for adoption are vaccinated, neutered, tick flea & wormed & microchipped.

The team at Nowzad feel it is very important to ensure that you and your family / home situation is right for the dog or cat you are considering adopting. Please be as honest with us as you can when you complete the questionnaire. Some of our older dogs or cats that need ‘forever’ homes may not readily accept other dogs that are already living in your home but our younger dogs will settle with the correct introduction and supervision.

Nelson, Seem & Mushtari

Nelson, Seem & Mushtari are three lucky cats who really struck gold when they were offered a home together. Life could not be more blessed for them, each day they follow their new Mum to help with looking after the family’s rescued shire horses, rolling and playing in the hay has become a daily routine which always ends with a fun game of tag much to the delight of their adopters. This week a lamb decided to join in the fun, and the other resident cats have been joining in on the adventures too. It seems life in the country suits these Kabul kitties purrfectly. Their family says…‘they are such lovely little souls and each one is very special…they do, I feel take over your heart’

Thank you Sara & Tom for giving them a wonderful new life and to everyone who helped to bring them home on the Ark.

Please consider making a donatation to help another donkey or horse receive the treatment they all so desperately need. Thank-you for caring.
