Former Rescues

All of our Nowzad former street dogs or cats will need a home where love and patience walk hand in hand.

It can be a long road of trial and error and careful supervision is always necessary. Overcoming the Afghan animal’s very territorial nature can have its moments.

We have fully come to appreciate that adopting an Afghan animal is not for everybody as it requires a life time of commitment but could you be the loving home our companion animals are looking for?

All our animals for adoption are vaccinated, neutered, tick flea & wormed & microchipped.

The team at Nowzad feel it is very important to ensure that you and your family / home situation is right for the dog or cat you are considering adopting. Please be as honest with us as you can when you complete the questionnaire. Some of our older dogs or cats that need ‘forever’ homes may not readily accept other dogs that are already living in your home but our younger dogs will settle with the correct introduction and supervision.

Sweet Tripaw Mo cat travelled home on the Ark and has been enjoying life in his new garden. This little kitty with a lot of love to give has really settled well and is dearly loved by his new family. Whether he is acting as office assistant to his Dad or helping his Mum sort the fridge contents he really is never far from their sides. This darling boy has landed in his own little pot of gold. Thank you to his new family for loving him and giving him a wonderful future and to everyone who donated to get them all to a safe new life.
